Cherokee Lake Realty has sold homes in Knox County. We have sold homes in Cocke County. This runs the extremes for the majority East Tennessee territory. However, our specialty lies in the Cherokee Lake area counties. These consist of Grainger, Hamblen, Hawkins, and Jefferson Counties. A lot of territory. Territory we know well. If you wish to list a home outside of these counties and we feel we can accurately represent you, we will take your listing on. However, if you are a potential buyer contacting us to seek out property in Bristol, Tennessee, for example, we feel that it is best you find a reputable agency in that area. We realize that some real estate firms in other parts of Tennessee will represent a client and bring them to our area of specialization. Relying on us to point out the pros and cons of certain parts of our area. And that is fine, as there are some fine real estate firms out there, we have done this for. However, we don’t believe that we can represent a client and take them to an area, that is outside of our specialization, and entrust them to another agency’s knowledge or lack of. There are things that we may not be aware of in certain areas, and since are representing the client, we don’t want to take a chance and not provide the necessary information to make a buying decision. We would rather take a pass and recommend they find a reputable agency in that market.
