May 21, 2026. PIGEON FORGE – Dollywood has once again been recognized as one of the nation’s top amusement destinations after being named Favorite Theme Park in the National Amusement Park Historical Association’s annual amusement park survey.
The longtime East Tennessee attraction earned the top spot ahead of Disneyland, which finished as runner-up in the category.
The survey, voted on by amusement park enthusiasts and experienced riders from across the country, also highlighted several other well-known parks and attractions.
Knoebels Amusement Resort was named Favorite Traditional Amusement Park while Busch Gardens Williamsburg earned recognition as the Most Beautiful Park for the 36th consecutive year.
In roller coaster categories, the Phoenix at Knoebels received Favorite Wood Roller Coaster honors while Millennium Force at Cedar Point was selected as Favorite Steel Roller Coaster.
Stardust Racers at Universal Epic Universe was recognized as Best New Attraction.
